Xenia von Buchwald was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1986.
In 2012 she graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture.
Upon graduation, she enrolled in the Drawing and Painting Programme at the Florence Academy of Art, Sweden, after which she moved to Svendborg, Denmark, to study with Charles Weed for two years.
Xenia is currently residing in Helsingør, Denmark, where she maintains a studio with her husband and fellow painter, Filip Marcus von Buchwald. She divides her time between working on her own projects and teaching.
